Hello there! I am Alma, a 20 something year-old, wife, mommy, daughter, sister, Christ follower, and animal lover living in Houston, Texas!
Why did you start your blog?
Being a nursing student, and working in the medical field for some years now, has limited my outfits to scrubs every weekday. I felt like fashion was missing from my life and wanted to find a way that I could get more wear out of my clothing. I started posting outfit pictures on Instagram in the fall of 2014, and the feedback I received was amazing which motivated me to expand my creativity with fashion and styling trough blogging.
How did you come up with your blog name?
My blog name says it all! I've always had a love for fashion since I was a kid. I would always prefer playing dress up instead of playing with dolls, and now I get to keep playing dress up and share it with those who love fashion as much as I do!
Who takes your photos?
Like many bloggers out there, I am so lucky to have my husband as my photographer. He is one of those boyfriend-turned photographers and he quite enjoys taking my pictures. We always have a great time during a photoshoot! At the moment, we are learning more about photography and I’m excited to see my pictures evolve to better quality over time.
Fit and sizing reference?
I know shopping online can be tricky sometimes so for reference, I am 5’4 and wear a solid Medium in most brands including J. Crew, Forever21, Loft, and target clothing. In shoes I am a 7 in flats, sneakers, sandals, and an 8 in high heels.
What is one goal you wish to accomplish trough blogging?
My goal is to inspire and give outfit ideas to my readers. I don’t want to blog just to post pictures of myself wearing pretty things. I want my readers to come to my blog anytime they need outfit inspiration without having to break their bank. All it takes is a little creativity!
I am not a professional in blogging, I am learning as I go and I am both excited and nervous to see where this will take me.
