As you may have seen on my instagram, we are having a girl!!! We are beyond excited, and feel incredibly blessed to get the best of both worlds! First a boy, and now we are getting our little girl. Since the day I found out I was pregnant, I tried guessing if I was expecting a baby girl or boy based on the Old Wives Tales. I know these are just for fun and shouldn't be taken seriously, but they were fun to try. If you try these, don't take the results seriously because you will probably stress yourself out. After all, only God knows what he has blessed you with, and you will find out very soon at the doctors office if you already haven't.
The Mayan Chart {source}
The Mayan calendar has been around for a while now, but I actually just found out about it this pregnancy. My age at conception was 28 (even number), and we conceived in December (another even number) so according to this chart, I am having a girl which is correct.
SCORE: Boy-0 Girl-1
The Chinese Gender Chart {source}
This one was tricky because there are so many out there with different results but I found this specific chart to be the most "accurate". I conceived at the age of 28 in the month of December, so according to the chart, I am having a girl.

Skin Changes
This one is a popular one! According to the Old Wives Tales, baby girls “steal your beauty” and cause break outs while baby boys will have your skin glowing. One of the very few pregnancy symptoms I had was acne. My skin was overall terrible during the first trimester, and acne creams didn't help. According to this OWT I am having a girl.

Linea Nigra:
For this one, you will have to wait until you are further along in your pregnancy to develop a linea nigra. According to the OWTs, if the line starts at the belly button, and goes down by the pubic area, you're having a girl. If it continues above your belly button, you’re having a boy. My linea Nigra goes above the belly button which means boy.

Body Hair
If your hair is growing thick, and fast, you’re said to be having a boy. If your hair growth has remained the same, you are said to be having a girl. I was excited to grow long thick hair due to my pregnancy, but my hair growth has actually remained the same meaning girl.

Baby’s Heartrate
Girls are known to have faster heartbeats than boys. Above 140 bpm means you’re having a girl, and lower than 140 bpm means it’s a boy. My baby's heartbeat has always been above 140 indicating girl.

Feet
It is said that if your feet are always cold, you might be having a boy. If your feet are always warm, you might be having a girl. My feet are always cold indicating boy.

Cravings
Craving salty foods means you might be carrying a boy and craving sweets means you might be carrying a girl. I actually craved both sweet and salty foods but salty definitely won in my first trimester.

Sickness
This one is another popular one! If your morning sickness is severe and includes vomiting, you are said to be having a girl. If you don't have much of morning sickness, you are said to be having a boy. I actually had almost no morning sickness so I was definitely convinced I was having another boy.

Sleeping
Sleeping on the left side means you are carrying a boy, sleeping on the right side means girl. I started sleeping on my left side as my belly started to grow in my second trimester so this would be another point for boy!

Clumsy vs Graceful
Another popular one! If you are clumsier than usual, you might be carrying a boy, otherwise you may be carrying a girl. I have always been clumsy, and having a huge belly in the way just makes me even more clumsy therefore another point for boy.

Moody vs Mellow
Moody means girl, and mellow means boy. Omg I cannot believe how moody I was in my first trimester! Everything bothered me and I am thankful my husband was nothing but patient with me. Thankfully this only lasted during my first trimester, so this would be another point for team girl!

Gender Dreams
It is said that if you dream you are having a certain gender, you are carrying the opposite gender. I actually had two separate dreams in which I was expecting a boy prior to finding out the gender, so I took it as a sign that I was carrying a boy. According to the OWT since I dreamed I was carrying a boy, then it actually means I am carrying the opposite which is a girl.
And my final results are:

According to the OWT I am having a girl which is correct! I want to say again that these are just for fun and will not accurately predict your baby's gender. As a matter of fact, when I was only three months pregnant, I went through so many of these and kept getting a boy result. As my belly got bigger and I started experiencing second trimester symptoms, my results turned to girl results which is correct, however, it still does not mean that these are in any way real, or accurate.
